Agroforestry and Agronomy

Dr. K. Thanunathan is Reader in Agronomy, Annamalai University, Annamalai nager, Tamil Nadu. He was a gold medalist in B.Sc., (Ag.) in 1982. He was awarded the State Merit Scholarship by the Government of Tamil Nadu for pursuing his post-graduate studies at Annamalai University in 1985. he has been working in Annamalai University from 1985, where he obtained his Ph.D. in Agronomy also with specialization in soil fertility. His specialization is agroforestry, soil crop improvement and farming systems and he has been teaching courses on soil fertility management and dryland agriculture to under-graduate and post-graduate students for 15 years. He is supervising M.Sc., (Ag.) and Ph.D. Scholars. He operates research projects as Principal Investigator. He authored two books "Dryland Agriculture" and "Introduction to soil fertility".
