Dr. K.K. Ramalingam graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University, obtained Master degree in I.C engines from University of Madras and Doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. His field of specialization is Internal Combustion Engines. He started his teaching career as Technical Teacher Trainee and retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering, Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He had about thirty-five years of experience in teaching graduate and postgraduate classes and guided research projects in IC Engines. He has published about thirty-five papers. He had shop-floor training in Automobile Industries like Ashok Leyland, India Pistons, Enfield India, Simpson & Co., and Standard Motor Products and floor experience in a thermal power station. He has also published a book titled Handbook of Mechanical Engineering Terms.
